Don't believe in Good Rex/Bad Rex? The guy has thirteen turnovers in the six games he's played as the Skins QB. You're not going to win too many games averaging two turnovers a game. He's on a par for 26 turnovers this year. You call that acceptable? Beck could have outrun Spenser Monday night. Train Rex is too slow to get out of his own way.

The team looked and played flat to me. I has supposed that they might be too hyped and have some early mental errors as a result. To the contrary, people weren't moving with the the speed and commitment they had against Arizona.

Beyond that, it was the Rex Grossman show. I don't believe in the Bad Rex/Good Rex thing. There is only Slightly Chubby Rex with a serviceable arm who doesn't respond well to pressure up the middle and lacks situational awareness. As far as pressure up the middle, few QBs deal well with that. Rex's arm is Good Enough. What is left is a guy who has a tendency for making "The Mistake That Must Not Be Committed."

Several times throughout the game I found myself saying, "Throw the ball!" Rex needs to know that when you are driving under two minutes you can't have a delay penalty, you can't have turnovers, and you can't take sacks. Sack-turnovers are, to channel Graham Chapman, right out. If Rex can't demonstrate situational awareness and play accordingly, then we will lose more close games than we win.

Great story. I totally agree Kyle should have stuck with the run in the 4th quarter. If you look at the drvie that they scored the their TD the ran the ball for 24 yards on 4 attempts.

Outside stretch with Helu seals the win for us if we ran it in the 4rth. No doubt in my mind.

Great write up! I was thinking the same thing. Kyle has a lot to learn from Pops and needs to get rid of the "Madden Mentality". You have a good defense and a lead in the 4rth.... Run the damn ball coaching 101!
