I has supposed that they might be too hyped and have some early mental errors as a result. To the contrary, people weren't moving with the the speed and commitment they had against Arizona. Beyond that, it was the Rex Grossman show. I don't believe in the Bad Rex/Good Rex thing. There is only Slightly Chubby Rex with a serviceable arm who doesn't respond well to pressure up the middle and lacks situational awareness. As far as pressure up the middle, few QBs deal well with that. Rex's arm is Good Enough. What is left is a guy who has a tendency for making "The Mistake That Must Not Be Committed." Rex needs to know that when you are driving under two minutes you can't have a delay penalty, you can't have turnovers, and you can't take sacks. Sack-turnovers are, to channel Graham Chapman, right out. If Rex can't demonstrate situational awareness and play accordingly, then we will lose more close games than we win.
