It’s not Gibbs’s fault. The team thought they could hire everyone else and then hire a coach. Doesn’t work that way. Maybe the Cowboys got away with it but it’s not the norm. There was a lot of talented coaches who turned down the job because of this reason. Zorn was hired and never had a real chance.

I think the last 10 games of the year should be stripped from Zorn’s record. I am honestly surprised that they won 2 more games after he was neutered and stripped of his play-calling duty. That distorted record makes it look like this whole debacle was Zorn’s fault. I don’t think Zorn deserves much of the blame…he was hired as offensive coordinator because he was a good QB coach. Then he was promoted to head coach because over the next month after his hiring the skins couldn’t land a big name head coach. Why didn’t they land a head coach? You answered part of it with your article, they were caught off guard. But who’s responsible for the decision of hiring Zorn, a QB coach, to fill a spot before finding a head coach?

I just have one question…how many years will Mike Shannahan be given before Danny reinstates the ban to keep fans from bringing posters into FedEx?

The skins remind me of a once-proud franchise up the road that’s in the midst of 12 consecutive losing seasons. Bringing in big name free agents after their careers have peaked. Sold out crowds replaced by empty seats. Fans chanting sell the team…

Sorry, it’s a stretch blaming this on Gibbs. He left at the end of the season. There was more than enough time to find a head coach. Finding a Head Coach that would put up with Snyderrato was the hard part. It was lose-lose for anybody but those desperately seeking a head coaching job. The only plan the FO had was to sell jerseys. They never had a plan to build a winning football team.

Let’s see: hire a man beyond retirement age to do one of the most stressful executive jobs in the world and then act surprised when he doesn’t last five years? And have no contingency or succession planning in place? That wouldn’t get out of an MBA project proposal, much less real-world business planning.

Everyone is entitled to be wrong on an issue and you are on this one. You still take a fine photo, though.
