Great piece B Murf. This site has quickly moved to the top of my list as a Redskin’s fan must read.

I think J Cam will develop into a top 5 QB, but he has to develop like any other “long term successful” QB in the NFL. You dont have to like the guy but show some football knowledge when you make your case, because unless your last name is Parcells your gut feeling isnt good enough (all of you part time GM’s out there).

Here are my talking points.

#1 If the WC is so difficult why don’t we run an offense that’s part WC and part what JC can currently do well.

#2 If JC can’t do anything well or they think the skins need to win now why didn’t they make a move for a guy like Jeff Garcia–someone who could step in and make plays while Zorn finds and grooms his own QB.

#4 If the skins give a damn about the passing game they would get better oline backups.

#5 In conclusion, the skins don’t want to win.

Thanks. I loved reading this well written article intelligently breaking down our QB situation. I get tired of reading comments and posts on messageboards and blogs that look like a 4 year old brat wrote them. “Campbell Sucks” “Start Colt” “We need a new QB” are all the cries I read every day from braindead morons who really have not bothered to get a better understanding of what’s really going on with our QB situation. These people need to just go back to beer-guzzling and complaining and let real fans carry on intelligent conversations about our team.

If this was the fourth year of the Al Saunder’s (an experienced and accomplished coordinator) offense as opposed to the second year of an offense run by a second-year coordinator, we would all be a little more confident going into the season. As it happens, this organization is sense-averse.

Great piece, though. I’m afraid it will probably fall on the deaf ears (or blind eyes?) of both the fan base and the ownership.

well, based on that last paragraph (if we don’t make the playoffs or have an above average season) we won’t see this happen because dan snyder will get upset and let go of zorn and campbell and we’ll start all over agian.
